OK+: the channel, the site and the app — and how they work together

What people find hardest on arriving in Germany is not the language on its own. It is that every errand has a form, and every form has fields nobody explains. OK+ grew out of that.

What began as a YouTube channel is now four things that lean on one another. This page explains all of them in one place.

The channel — the explanation in sound and picture

The OK+ channel on YouTube is where it started, and the method has not changed: the official form is opened on screen and filled in field by field, and at each field you are told what it means and what belongs in it. Not general talk about the procedure — the form itself, in front of you.

And the other platforms — more than 3,900 videos

What goes out on YouTube finds its way to TikTok, Facebook and Instagram, along with the short clips that explain a single point in a minute. Across those platforms, more than three thousand nine hundred videos have been published.

And a WhatsApp channel for what is new as it happens: a change in the law, an application window opening, a deadline coming up.

The site — the explanation in writing

A video is explained once and watched once. Writing is what you come back to, search, and copy the official address or the form's name out of. That is why this site exists: everything explained in a video has a written page here, in Arabic, German and English, with the links to the responsible offices and their forms.

The app — the doing

Once you understand, there is still the doing: working out your figure and producing your letter. That is the job of OK Plus DE — thirty-two features between calculators and document generators, in seven languages (Arabic, German, English, Russian, Persian, Ukrainian and Turkish), for Android and iPhone, and ad-free.

Thirteen of those tools are free always and without limit. Nineteen advanced tools come with a free trial counter, after which creating documents opens with a subscription.

How they work together

The order is simple, and it is the order of need rather than the order of publishing:

  • Watch the video and see the shape of the form and where the traps are
  • Read the article to go back over it and copy the official link
  • Calculate in the app, to know whether the application is worth the effort
  • Produce the document in the app and keep a copy
  • Follow the WhatsApp channel so no deadline passes you

That is why every article here carries the link to the video that explained it, and every video points at the article. Not four projects — one project with four doors.

Who it is for

  • The newcomer facing a first official form
  • The resident who has had a decision they do not understand or do not accept
  • The family asking about Kindergeld, Kinderzuschlag or Wohngeld
  • The job seeker who needs a Bewerbung written the way one is expected to be
  • And anyone who wants to understand their paper in their own language before signing it

The limits of what we offer — plainly

OK+ is explanation and tools. It is not an authority and not an advice practice. The calculators give an estimate for guidance, and the decision rests with the responsible office alone. Matters that need a lawyer or a tax adviser belong with them, not with a video.

German law and German figures change. That is why every page here carries the link to the responsible office: they are the source, we are the explanation.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the site and the app?
The site explains; the app does. You read here how the application is filled in, and there you work out your figure and produce your document.

Is the content free?
The channel and the site are entirely free. The app has thirteen tools that are free without limit, and nineteen advanced ones on a trial counter and then a subscription.

In which languages?
The site in three — Arabic, German and English. The app in seven — Arabic, German, English, Russian, Persian, Ukrainian and Turkish.

How do I keep up with what is new?
The WhatsApp channel is the fastest; YouTube carries the full explanations.

Please note: this page introduces OK+. Official information comes from the responsible office, and figures and rules change.
