OK Plus DE – Your Free Helper App for German Paperwork

OK Plus DE – Your Free Helper App for German Paperwork

The heaviest thing about German paperwork is not the difficulty of any one form. It is that everything sits apart: a calculator here, a template there, and an objection letter nobody quite knows how to word. OK Plus DE was built out of exactly that problem — it puts what you need in one place, in your own language.

Thirty-two features between calculators, generators and documents, in seven languages, ad-free, for Android and iPhone from the same page.

Thirteen tools, free without limit

These stay open always — no counter, no condition:

  • Currency converter — between all currencies
  • My finances — track what comes in and what goes out
  • Law and rights — your rights and duties in Germany
  • Filling in benefit applications — a video walkthrough for each form
  • Radio and television fee — applying for exemption from the broadcast fee
  • Certificates and recognition — which universities are recognised
  • Emergency numbers — numbers and emergency services
  • Calendar and holidays — German public holidays by federal state
  • Mobile SIM cards — a guide to the tariffs
  • German language helper — ready-made sentences to use
  • Prayer times — daily prayer times
  • Notebook — for your own notes
  • Job search — official vacancies from the Arbeitsagentur

Nineteen advanced tools

These are the calculators and generators that produce a document for you. The app gives you a free trial counter of forty operations to try them with. When the counter runs out everything stays visible, and creating documents opens with a subscription.

  • Salary calculator — your net pay and the tax on it
  • Wohngeld calculator — what housing benefit you may be entitled to
  • Elterngeld calculator — the payment after a birth
  • Agentur für Arbeit calculator — unemployment benefit after work
  • SCHUFA report — your report free, with correction and deletion
  • Jobcenter calculator — your standard need and allowance
  • Kindergeld calculator — entitlement and payment dates
  • Kinderzuschlag calculator — the supplement alongside Kindergeld
  • Maintenance calculator — child maintenance after a separation
  • Ending a contract — a ready Kündigung
  • Traffic fine estimate — work it out before you pay
  • Flat application generator — a covering letter for a flat
  • Job application generator — a finished Bewerbung
  • Objection generator — a formal objection to any decision
  • Power of attorney generator — simple authorisations for various errands
  • Instalment request generator — a ready request to pay in instalments
  • Pension contribution refund — when you leave Germany for good
  • Help with lawyer's fees — near-free advice: do you qualify?
  • Rent brake (Rüge) — rent above the limit? work it out and object

Seven languages — and why that matters

An official letter in Germany is read in German, but your understanding of what you are writing has to be in your own language. So the app shows the explanation and the fields in your language and produces the document in the form the office accepts. Seven languages cover most communities in Germany.

Ad-free, with a published privacy policy

Not one advertisement across the screen, and no selling of your data. The tools run on your own device and your data stays with you. The privacy policy is published on the app page, so you read it before installing rather than after.

How to get it — Android and iPhone

One page leads to both stores. Open it on your phone and you will find the button for your device: https://okplus-okba.github.io/Okplus/

The app, the channel and the site — three doors into one house

What you see in the app was explained somewhere else first. This is how they connect:

  • The OK+ channel on YouTube — the explanation in sound and picture: the form is opened in front of you and filled in field by field: youtube.com/@OkPlusDE
  • This site — the same explanation in writing, to come back to, copy from and search, in three languages
  • The app — the doing: work out your figure, produce your document, keep it
  • The WhatsApp channel — what is new, as it happens: the OK+ channel on WhatsApp

Whoever watched the video finds the article, and whoever read the article finds the tool that carries it out. That is the whole arrangement.

How it earns its place in your day

  • Before submitting any benefit application: work out the estimate first, so you know whether it is worth applying
  • When a decision arrives that you disagree with: produce an objection letter in minutes instead of waiting for an advice appointment
  • When you no longer need a contract: produce a correctly worded termination before the notice period runs out
  • When a sum is too heavy to pay at once: ask for instalments in writing, not in a phone call that is forgotten
  • Keep a copy of everything you send — in German paperwork, the paper is the proof

Common mistakes that delay a case

  • Treating the calculator's estimate as a decision — it is an estimate; the decision belongs to the office
  • Sending the objection after the deadline written in the decision itself
  • Sending the letter without keeping a copy and proof of posting
  • Leaving fields incomplete and then being surprised by a request for more
  • Installing the app from anywhere other than the official page

Frequently asked questions

Is the app free?
Thirteen tools are free always, without limit. The nineteen advanced tools come with a free trial counter of forty operations, after which creating documents opens with a subscription. There are no advertisements either way.

What is left once the counter runs out?
Everything stays visible, and the free tools go on working as before. What stops is producing a new document.

Does it work on iPhone?
Yes. The same page leads to both the Android and the iPhone version — open it on your phone and choose the button for your device.

In which languages?
Seven, among them Arabic, German and English.

Does it replace an adviser or a lawyer?
No. It shortens the wording and the arithmetic; the decision and the advice stay with those qualified to give them.

Please note: the calculators give an estimate for guidance. The final decision rests with the responsible office alone.
